The challenge

Approximately 5 million tonnes of food are wasted each year in the EU alone. In professional kitchens, food waste is often a symptom of inefficient operations, resulting in unnecessary CO₂ emissions, higher costs, and lost productivity. Many kitchens lack the tools to track waste or optimize menu planning, making it difficult to improve their environmental footprint.

The solution

FoodOp provides a digital platform that helps professional kitchens reduce food waste, CO₂ emissions, and administrative workload. By tracking food consumption and waste patterns, FoodOp delivers actionable data for smarter menu planning and more efficient kitchen operations, enabling kitchens to improve sustainability while maintaining quality and productivity.
