The challenge

Global transport and energy intensive sectors such as maritime shipping, aviation, and heavy industry remain heavily dependent on fossil fuels. These fuels drive substantial CO₂ emissions and environmental damage. Existing alternatives often require new engines or infrastructure, making the transition costly, slow, and impractical at large scale.

The solution

Kvasir Technologies has developed a proprietary solvent liquefaction process that converts non‑edible, waste derived biomass such as agricultural and forestry residues into a high quality, drop in biofuel. Their biofuel can replace fossil fuel directly with no modifications to existing engines or fuel infrastructure, enabling a seamless transition to carbon neutral energy for marine, aviation, and other high power sectors. By using sustainable waste biomass instead of fossil sources, Kvasir’s fuel reduces greenhouse gas emissions while utilizing under used resources.
