Most of us also have hands-on experience as managers and executives. Some of us have built our own companies. Common for us all, we are dedicated to sustainability.

Prior to joining The Footprint Firm full-time, Sofie worked part-time as an Analyst as part of the company while finishing her Master’s degree. During her time as an Analyst Sofie worked across a range of sustainability and ESG projects including GHG inventories and assessments, SBTi target setting and commitments, ESG reporting and CSRD readiness as well as investment related work and analysis for The Footprint Fund. Moreover, Sofie has worked as a student assistant at the Danish Ministry of Environment, where she gained experience with environmental politics and policy analysis, as well as working for the Danish start-up Klimate within the area of carbon removal strategies.

Sofie holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in climate and environmental economics, and a BSc in Environmental and Agricultural Economics from the University of Copenhagen. During her Master’s program, she spent a semester in New York interning at Invest in Denmark at the General Consulate of Denmark focusing on attracting cleantech investments from North America to Denmark. She also completed a semester abroad at Monash University in Melbourne with a focus on climate change.
